Welcome to the website for Blackrock College RFC Mini & Youth Rugby - the mightiest mini, girls and youth rugby club in Ireland. While our origins are connected with Blackrock College, our roots are firmly based in the local schools and communities in South Dublin from which we draw our large playing pool.

Blackrock has one of the largest playing populations of any Club in the country with over 425 boys and girls participating, ably catered for by over 70 coaches and the support of our parents in terms of sponsorship, website design, photography, first aid and hospitality. We cater, at mini level, for all ages from Under 6s through to Under 12s, at youths level at Under 13s and 17s and for an ever increasing Girls Section. The age group are determined on a calendar year basis - so to be eligible for this season's Under 6's, you will have your 5th birthday during 2010.  In other words you must have been born in 2005 to play for the U6s, 2004 for the U7s, and so on.

We still have vacancies at a number of levels and you can enquire about availability by contacting the head coach of relevant age group - just click on the relevant age group to the right and select the coaches page for contact details. Mini rugby squads are rotated periodically to enable all of the boys to get to know one another and we select our teams on the basis of a balance of abilities.

During the year, we organise fixture, blitzes, tours and events such as Santa's annual visit and an annual medal awards ceremony & barbeque.
